Marcella Santoyo Obituary

Marcella M. “Sally” Santoyo (nee Baechle), 92, of Washington, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019 in Washington.  She was born October 22, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Henry and Odile Baechle, nee Fallert and was united in marriage to the late Charles Santoyo on September 25, 1948 in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri.  Sally was an especially devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved to spend time with family.  She spent countless hours volunteering at Mercy Hospital, St. Francis Borgia Church and food pantry and was also a member of St. Francis Borgia Ladies Sodality. 

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 14, at 12:30 pm at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.  Visitation will be held Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 10am to 12 at Miller Funeral Home.  Memorials are appreciated to St. Francis Borgia Church or St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Sally is survived by eight children, Barbara Sanders of Mankato, Minnesota; Karla Santoyo of Columbia, MO; Jerome and wife Eva Santoyo of Columbia, MO; Donald and wife Debra Santoyo of Arnold, MO; Mary and husband Larry Von Behren of New Haven; Diane and husband William Allebach of Ste. Genevieve; David and wife Sherrie Santoyo of Bethany, Oklahoma and Stephen Santoyo of Columbia, two siblings, Charles Baechle of Arnold and Sister Anthony of Wheaton, Illinois, nineteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Santoyo on May 31, 1990, her son-in-law, J. Scott Sanders, MD and sister-in-law, Sylvia Baechle.
