Lloyde R. Baker, 80, of Union, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. He was born on February 19, 1937, to the late Wilbur and Lillian (nee Engel) Baker in St. Clair. Lloyde graduated from St. Clair High School in 1955 and served in the Army as Private First Class in Berlin, Germany. He was united in marriage to Kathy J. Stuckenschneider on April 30, 1966, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union and retired from Bangert Bros. as an operating engineer with Local 513. Lloyde was a talented woodworker, stained glass hobbyist, enjoyed playing tennis and enjoyed time with his family. He was a Ford man who liked blackberry cobbler, homemade ice cream, Manhattans and Willie Nelson.
Lloyde is survived by his wife, Kathy Baker of Union; three children, Annette Gerner and husband Gregg, Steve Baker and wife Ronda and his restored 1964 Ford Falcon convertible, all of Union; three siblings, Dayle Baker and wife Hilma of Ballwin, Harold Baker and wife Linda of Lonedell, and Elaine Hunter and husband Jery of Union; two grandchildren, Sean and Sara Ockleston of Union; other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Dorriss Johnston and Kenneth Baker.
