Laurene M. Freie

Laurene M. Freie, 91, of Washington, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018, in Washington.  Laurene was born July 20, 1927, to the late Albert and Margaret (nee Koelkebeck) Freie in New Haven, Missouri.  She was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ and the St. Peter’s Women’s Fellowship.  Laurene loved traveling nationally as well as abroad but always loved coming back to her home in Washington. 

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018, from 10 am until time of service at noon at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Washington. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.  Memorials may be made to St. Peter’s United Church of Christ.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, Sharon and husband Herb Nolden and family, Karen Addison and family, Stacey Cervera and family, and Steven Freie and family; her sister-in-law, Joan Freie; great-nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Lenora Irvin and Merlyn Freie.
