LaVerne Maune Obituary

LaVerne M. Maune (nee Boland), 86, of Washington, passed away on April 30, 2019. LaVerne, the daughter of the late Lawrence Boland and Ada (nee Rush), was born on January 24, 1933 in Washington. LaVerne married the love of her life, Kenneth J. Maune, on May 3, 1952, at St. Francis Borgia Church. Together they had four children. Laverne truly loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and going on trips with her husband, Kenneth.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Maune; daughters, Karen Glosemeyer and husband Darrell, Sherry Miesner and husband Allan, Lori Huellinghoff and husband Roger; siblings, Delores Maschmann, and Harvey “Skip” Boland; grandchildren, Ryan, Corey, and Curtis Glosemeyer, Adam, and Justin Miesner, and Nicholas, and Megan Huellinghoff; and many other relatives and friends.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Ada; daughter, Kathleen Maune; siblings, Barbara Boland, and Meredith Beste and husband Rudolph; siblings-in-law, Lawrence Maschmann, Lillian Boland, Evelyn and Walter Branson, Mildred and Andrew Westhoff, Virginia and Sylvester Westhoff, Margaret and Clyde Anderson, Norbert Maune, John Maune, and Henry Maune.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be on Monday, May 6, 2019, at St. Francis Borgia Church at 10:00 a.m. Officiating the mass is Rev. Joseph Wormek. Memorials may be made to the St. Francis Borgia Church or Masses.
