Craig Hamann Obituary

Craig J. Hamann, 63, of Washington, passed away on October 30, 2019, in Quincy, Illinois. Craig, son of the late Walter Hamann and Dolores nee Struckhoff, was born on August 22, 1956, in Washington. He graduated from Washington High School. On May 1, 1976, Craig married his wife Dorothy Hamann nee Patke, at St. John’s Gildehaus Church. He was member of the Elks Lodge #1559, the Knights of Columbus in Dutzow, American Legion Post 218, and St. John’s Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dottie Hamann of Washington; children, Scott Hamann and wife Alicia of Washington, Mike Hamann and significant other Sarah Jarvis of Beaufort; siblings, Kirk Hamann Sr. and wife Marty of Villa Ridge, Colette Jacquin and husband Larry of Washington, Gary Hamann and wife Donna of Washington, and Keith Hamann and wife Amy of Springfield, IL; grandchildren, Cody, and Emma Hamann; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doris Hoffman of Downers Grove, IL, Dennis Patke and wife Debbie of Dutzow, Diane Borgerding of Augusta, and Dave Patke and wife Mary of Labadie; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Dolores Hamann; mother and father-in-law, Al and Ethel Patke; brother-in-law, Rich Borgerding; Niece, Sara Hamann; and Nephew, Kirk Hamann Jr.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 1-5 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt,Miller Funeral Home, with a Memorial Service beginning at 5 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt,Miller Funeral Home. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or the Franklin County Honor Flight.
