Carol Frankenberg Obituary

Carol L. Frankenberg (nee Dzurick), 74, of Washington, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Washington. Carol was born on January 11, 1944, in St. Louis to the late Roy and Faye (nee Savarino) Dzurick and was united in marriage to Ron Frankenberg on June 20, 1992, in Gray Summit, Missouri. Carol was a thoughtful and caring soul who always looked for ways that she could help others. Throughout her adult life Carol volunteered at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and Grade School through the phone prayer list, cleaning the Church, and helping to care for children before the start of the school day. She was a board member for the Franklin County Fundraising Committee to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and an active member and former officer of the Zi Nu Theta chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.  Carol forged many close friendships over the more than thirty years she worked at Sporlan Valve before her retirement. She was the family matriarch that loved to bring everyone together around the table with her amazing home cooking (everyone agreed that her home-made pasta sauce couldn’t be beat). To her grandchildren, she was always NANA, and they were her world. She delighted in their triumphs and shared in their sorrow and she’ll be dearly missed.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at 10 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Cemetery.
