Brenda Lou Wehmeyer

Brenda Lou Wehmeyer was born on September 11, 1960, to the late George and Virginia Wehmeyer.  She passed away on November 3, 2018, after a brief illness.  Brenda was a graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in Special Education.  Brenda moved with her mother and father to Abilene, Texas to be closer to her brother Don and his family.  She began her teaching career at Hawley High School in 1984.  Brenda spent her thirty-three-year career at HHS touching the lives of countless children. 

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, George and Virginia. 

She is survived by her brother Donald Wehmeyer, MD and wife Pat of Abilene, her nephew Michael Wehmeyer and wife Melissa of Abilene, her niece Wendy Wehmeyer of Rockwall, Texas, and nephew Jeff Wehmeyer and wife Julie of Lake Bluff, Illinois, great nephews, Andy and Nick Wehmeyer, also of Lake Bluff, Illinois.

Visitation will be at Miller Funeral Home at Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 11am until time of service at Noon. Interment will follow at Smith Creek Cemetery.
