Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home’s deep roots in the Washington community began with two parallel businesses that came together in 2017. The oldest longest serving firm in Washington began in the 1870’s on Elm street with the Otto family as a furniture and undertaker business. In 1999, the business then known as Miller Funeral Home moved to the current location on Jefferson street. In 1921, at the corner of Jefferson and 5th Streets, Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home and Furniture opened to help serve the needs of the community. Erica and Kyle Wolfe, owners of Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, continue the long-standing commitment to providing the highest quality of caring service to families and the community with their purchase of Miller Funeral Home in 2017. In the spring of 2019, the two funeral homes, Miller and Nieburg-Vitt, merged operation to the Jefferson Street location and the name was changed to Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home.
