Joseph C. Nieder

Joseph C. Nieder ,55, of Villa Ridge, passed away on March 30, 2024. Mr. Nieder, son of the late Jerome Nieder and Lillian nee Marquart, was born on February 4, 1969 in Washington. He received his education from Washington High School. On June 7, 1996, he was united in marriage to Angie Schroeder at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Washington.

Joe retired 2 years ago from his Sale Management Position at Performance Food Group. He began a part time job at ABF Romcare following his retirement. Joe loved life, spending time with family and friends, meeting people, golfing, Jeep riding, traveling, barbecuing, and swimming. He was truly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Don and Jerry Nieder and father-in-law, Larry Schroeder.

Among his survivors are his wife, Angie Nieder of Villa Ridge; two daughters, Belle Nieder of Washington and Bree Nieder of Villa Ridge; eight siblings, Brenda Steffens and husband Mike of Alan, TX, Nancy Feldmann and husband Jim of Washington, Sue Berard and husband Celse of Washington, Diane Buhr and husband Dale of Washington, Tim Nieder and wife Angie of Kingswood, TX, Tom Nieder and wife Gail of Washington, Bob Nieder and wife Mary Ann of Bartlesville, OK, and Craig Nieder and wife Lisa of Columbia, MO; mother-in-law, Bernadette Schroeder of Washington; brothers and sisters-in-law, David Schroeder and wife Pam of Warrenton, Rick Schroeder and wife Billie Jo of Union, Brigette Elbert and husband Bud of Washington, Lisa Niederhelm and husband Casey of Washington, and Carmen Nieder of Ozark, AR; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 3-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Memorial Mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at St. John’s Gildehaus Church. Memorial donations can be made to St. John’s Gildehaus Church or Craig Hospital.
