Brian Epple Obituary

Brian John Epple, 56, of Washington, MO passed away on April 9, 2024. He was the son of George Epple and the late Una (Sallaz) Epple. He was born on July 28, 1967 in Hermann, MO. Brian was united in marriage to Lisa (Schulte) Epple on March 12, 1994 at St. Paul’s Church in Hermann. He received his education from Hermann High School and Linn State Technical College.

Some of Brian’s hobbies were going on walks with Lisa, boogieboarding in Florida, arcade games and comic books, singing to almost any song he heard, making Lisa laugh, and enjoying time spent with his family and friends.

It’s important to understand the kind of love Brian and Lisa shared, they were inseparable. He was her happiness, she was his sunshine. They were each other’s world. There was no doubt when you were with them how much they loved and meant to each other. They celebrated 2 anniversaries every year – their first date and wedding anniversary.

Memories of growing up that Brian always fondly remembered were going on camping trips with his parents and siblings and getting together over the holidays with all their fun aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Brian loved Imo’s pizza and used to work there in high school. After choosing a healthier lifestyle, he gave up this being a favorite food, but always told people his retirement plan was to work there again just so he could take in all the good smells.

Brian had an amazing way of looking out for the people who were important to him and always tried to find ways to help them or make them laugh. He was genuine in how he cared about and listened to people. He also had the combination of a perfectly timed, funny and snarky sense of humor. And then there was his famous smirk, when you saw it you couldn’t help but smile along with him.

Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Una Epple; father-in-law, Jim Schulte; and brother-in-law, Dave Schulte.

Brian is survived by his loving and adoring wife of 30 years, Lisa Epple of Washington; father, George Epple and wife Barb of Hermann; three siblings, Steve Epple and wife Cathy (Hendricks) of Hermann, favorite sister Susie Schebaum and husband Marty of Hermann, and Gary Epple and wife Lisa (Savage) of St. Peters; mother-in-law, Gladys (Poeschel) Schulte of Hermann; sister-in-law, Lisa (Baumstark) Schulte of Hermann; 7 nieces and nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews, and many amazing friends.

He was a dedicated employee to Shure Manufacturing for 29 years.
